Looking for a doctor who has time to know you?

You may already have a doctor, but still want time to explain what is happening, ask your questions and know whom to call afterward. That is the relationship I want to build with you.

Office visits by confirmed appointment only

I’m at the office only for scheduled visits. Please arrange and confirm an appointment before coming; walk-ins aren’t available.

How to send your first text

This is a chance to meet and discuss fit, separate from the first membership appointment.

Please leave medical details, records and test results out of your first text.

This is not an emergency service. For a medical emergency, call 911; don’t wait for a text, call or email reply.

Explain it in the language that feels natural

Joshua Lin, DO, a board-certified internal medicine physician.

You can speak with me in English or Mandarin. If it is easier to explain a concern in Mandarin, we can talk that way. We can go through your medicines, reports and questions together, and discuss what the next step could be.

What the membership changes

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a monthly membership paid directly to the practice for the care we agree on. It makes room for a continuing relationship, rather than starting over with each question.

An hour reserved
For your first membership appointment.
At least 30 minutes
For standard scheduled follow-ups.
Direct physician contact
Members can text or call me between visits.

Before you join, we’ll discuss availability and how to get help when I’m unavailable. Replies may take time; I’m not available at every hour. This is not an emergency service. For a medical emergency, call 911.

Considering care from Orange County or the San Gabriel Valley?

Irvine & Orange County

Some of my patients come from Irvine. If you are looking for a more personal relationship with your doctor, we can start with a conversation about what you want from your care and how visits would work for you. The office is in Diamond Bar.

West Covina & Rowland Heights

I also care for patients who come from West Covina. If you are exploring options from West Covina, Rowland Heights or another San Gabriel Valley community, you are welcome to ask how this practice might fit. We’ll discuss the actual care and visit arrangements before you decide.

Looking from another community?

Living in Walnut, Hacienda Heights, City of Industry, Orange, Tustin, Fullerton, Brea, Yorba Linda or Chino Hills? You are welcome to ask whether visits at our Diamond Bar office, together with any appropriate phone or video care, could work for you. We’ll consider where you are and what care you need.

Can we talk without a trip to the office?

When appropriate, some care can take place by phone or video. What can be handled remotely depends on where you are and what you need. Some concerns need an in-person examination or urgent care near you. We’ll discuss this before you join, including what to do when traveling.

Already have a PCP or PPO insurance?

You can keep your existing primary care doctor. We can discuss how I would work alongside them, with your permission, or whether I could be your primary physician. Membership is paid separately from insurance and does not make the practice in-network with your PPO.

The agreement explains included care, enrollment fees and outside costs. Insurance is still important for care such as specialists, hospital care and emergencies.

Care grounded in Christian love

My hope is to care for you with the love of Jesus and follow the Holy Spirit’s leading. Prayer and spiritual conversation are your choice. You are welcome here, whatever you believe.

Let’s see whether this is what you have been looking for

For a first inquiry, please text (949) 801-5425 with your name, callback number and general care expectations. I’ll call you back. The free 15-minute introduction is a chance to get to know each other and discuss whether a continuing care relationship fits your needs.
