Still tired after sleeping? Here is what I would bring.
If I slept through the night but kept struggling to stay awake during the day, I would want to know why. I would not start by blaming laziness, or assume a new pillow had settled the matter.
I would note bedtimes, wake times, nighttime waking and when I felt sleepy during the day. If someone noticed loud snoring, gasping or breathing pauses, I would include their observations.
If it persisted, I would bring the record and my medicine list to discuss whether I needed a sleep evaluation, including for sleep apnea. Those clues deserve attention; snoring alone is not a diagnosis.
I would be looking for a cause, not a grade for how disciplined a sleeper I was. Having someone help work through the clues would be a relief.
