Caring for family? I would put my appointment on the calendar, too.
If I managed the rides, prescriptions and appointments for a family member, my own visit could easily slip to “when things settle down.” That could be a very long wait.
I would choose one health need I had postponed and make the appointment. Then I would ask someone I trusted for specific cover: “Could you stay with my family member for that hour on Tuesday?” A defined request would be easier to arrange than solving my entire week.
Before the visit I would note interrupted sleep, mood, symptoms and what caring involved day to day, so we could discuss support that fit my situation.
One visit would not fix every pressure. Still, I would want a place on the calendar before everyone else was perfectly settled. I would be part of this family, too.
